Potential operating benefits

  • Helps disperse free water in petrol fuel systems.
  • May reduce corrosion and fuel-system deposits.
  • Supports improved combustion and fuel efficiency.
  • Improved lubricity may help protect pumps, seals and other components.
  • May help reduce exhaust smoke, soot and engine-oil contamination.

E10 and fuel storage

Ethanol in petrol is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture. In some conditions, sufficient water contamination can lead to phase separation and fuel-system problems.

The conditioner is intended to disperse free water and help maintain a more homogeneous fuel mixture.

Claims about preventing phase separation or improving long-term storage stability require supporting test data.

Recommended dosage 1 litre of conditioner per 1,000 litres of petrol (1:1,000).

05 / Applications Where fuel efficiency matters

One practical approach.
Across many sectors.

Eco Fuel Conditioners are intended to improve the combustion profile of compatible liquid fuels, including petrol, diesel, Marine Diesel Oil (MDO), Marine Gas Oil (MGO), selected biofuels such as Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), and kerosene.

Transport is a major contributor to global emissions. Reducing fuel consumption in today's vehicles and equipment can provide a near-term opportunity while longer-term alternatives are developed.

Select a sector to explore its potential applications.

Application / 01

Transportation

Road fleets and passenger transport

Eco Petrol and Diesel Conditioners are made using natural, biodegradable ingredients and are intended for compatible petrol and diesel fuel blends.

Commercial road fleet information supplied to Moonshot reports fuel savings of 8–10% in some applications.

Results vary by fleet, vehicle condition, fuel and operating pattern. The product aims to reduce fuel consumption and emissions without requiring vehicle replacement.

Application / 02

Marine

Shipping and marine engines

Shipping continues to rely heavily on liquid fuel. Eco Diesel Conditioner is proposed for compatible marine diesel, Marine Gas Oil (MGO), Marine Diesel Oil (MDO), certain biofuels and other suitable grades.

Potential benefits include improved combustion, reduced fuel consumption and lower associated emissions.

Separate technology: Berol® 6446 Fuel Emulsifier and ultrasonic processing have also been described for preparing stable heavy-fuel-oil emulsions containing additional water.

This is not the same as Eco Diesel Conditioner and requires separate technical documentation and supporting evidence.

Application / 03

Agriculture

Farm machinery and stored fuels

Farms often store diesel for tractors, machinery, pumps and generators.

Water contamination and increasing bio-content can create storage and fuel-system problems, including microbial contamination sometimes called diesel bug.

Eco Diesel Conditioner is intended to help manage free water and support fuel stability and combustion performance, with potential fuel and maintenance savings.

Fuel contamination should still be assessed and treated according to recognised storage and engine-maintenance procedures.

Application / 04

Generators

Standby and continuous power

Diesel generators support construction, events, remote operations and off-grid power, and can consume significant volumes of fuel.

Product-supplied information cites independent generator tests reporting reductions in selected greenhouse-gas emissions of 20–30% and particulate matter reductions of more than 50% (PM10) and 60% (PM2.5).

These figures require the original test reports, engine and duty-cycle details before being treated as representative performance.

Application / 05

Mining

Remote and high-duty operations

Mining operations commonly use substantial amounts of diesel in mobile equipment, generators and supporting infrastructure, often in remote locations.

Eco Diesel Conditioner may offer an opportunity to reduce fuel costs and associated emissions across compatible diesel-powered applications.

Generator test findings are relevant background but should not be presented as measured results for mining machinery without mine-specific trials.

Application / 06

Construction

Plant, vehicles and temporary power

Construction sites often use diesel-powered excavators, site vehicles, pumps and temporary generators.

These operations can create significant fuel costs and local exhaust emissions.

Eco Diesel Conditioner may be considered for compatible equipment as part of a fuel-efficiency and emissions-improvement programme.

Application-specific trial results are still to be added when supporting evidence is available.
